Condolences

Condolence From: Terri Eblen
Condolence: I wanted to share my sadness with Claire's family and other loved ones at the loss of one very special woman. Over the 25 years that I have been employed at Bridges Claire was always someone that stood out(even being small of stature)and was someone dedicated and thoughtful in her support of the mission of the agency. In my current role in recent years, I have gotten to experience her workings and leadership more directly and not only admired her but grew very fond of her. She will be sincerely missed. My thoughts go to all who are grieving.

They need a great Station Auditor up above,

many, but never forgotten. God Bless you

Condolence From: Dave Malarkey
Condolence: My condolences to the Phelan family. Claire was a wonderful person and great friend and neighbor to the Malarkey family. From the Malarkey's on Grove St from over ~50 years ago to us from Anderson Ave. My mother loved Claire's energy, enthusiasm and great friendship. She will be missed.

Condolence From: Joan Vitolo
Condolence: Condolensces to Claire's children her greatest joy. When we her friends honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is someone like Claire, someone instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, choose rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.
Claire lived her life as a witness to being kind in all things, being the first to say hello, being the first to smile, being the first to make the stranger feel a part of things, being helpful, thinking of others' feelings, being inclusive. And perhaps above all, Claire taught us that compassion teaches us that being is more important than doing, the heart is more important than the mind, and caring together is better than caring alone.

Condolence From: Judge Beverly Streit-Kefalas
Condolence: To Claire's children - my deepest condolences at your loss. I know that there is a deep void and heartache inside you right now. I hope that you will find some comfort in knowing that so many people loved and admired your mom. She was one of the strongest, compassionate and committed advocates for people in need I've ever known. She was a good and true friend. My heart breaks but I also feel joyful, knowing in my faith, that she is now at peace and with her family that went before her to heaven. May our memories of Claire be eternal.
