Anna C. Figuly, age 93, of Milford, entered eternal rest on December 30, 2018 in Milford Health Care. She was born on September 11, 1925 in Bridgeport to the late Anthony and Raephaella Vastano Gelormine. Anna was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 196, where she served as a past president and as well as holding other officer positions. She will be remembered as a great mother and grandmother, a dedicated homemaker and a wonderful cook who always made sure there was more than enough food no matter what the occasion. In addition, she was always at the ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who was ill as she did not like to see people suffer. Anna learned at an early age to stand up for what was right and speak out when needed, a true spitfire who "Had Your Back". She attended Waterbury School of Nursing after graduating from Warren Harding High School in 1943. Anna also was a dedicated retail sales person during the 1980's and early 1990's for Alexander's Department Store, Arthur's, Lane Bryant and Morrison's, all of which were located in the Connecticut Post Mall.
