Patrick F. Lawler Sr., age 93, beloved husband of Jacquelyn Mansfield Lawler, passed away Wednesday January 16, 2019 in Milford Hospital. Pat was born in Pittston, PA on June 20, 1925, son of the late Francis and Mary Holleran Lawler. He was a WWll Navy Veteran, serving in the South Pacific on PT 359.
Pat had a wide-ranging career, from working in the US Postal Service, where he was a familiar face at the front window, to running his own businesses. He was a master electrician, a carpenter, a plumber, and anything else required to get the job done. Later in life, he was an inventor, with several patents and products, a couple of which are sold today in catalogs and stores.
Pat loved all animals. All the birds, chipmunks, squirrels and turkeys were always well fed at his home in Milford. His dog Ziggy was his constant companion.
In addition to his wife, Pat is survived by 3 sons, Patrick Jr of Colorado Springs, CO, Christopher of Sandwich, NH and Paul of New Haven, CT, 2 grandchildren, Hannah of Los Angeles, CA and Geoffrey of Seattle, WA, as well as several nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by sisters Mary Abosida and Catherine Lawton, and recently by his brother Eugene Frank Lawler, who was his guidepost throughout life.
